Description

This open sunny equestrian-friendly campground is sprinkled with young oaks and jack pines. The campground consists of a group camping area used by equestrians riding the Shore-to-Shore Trail, a 420-mile trail system open to hiking and horseback riding, that stretches east-west from Empire to Oscoda with two additional northern and southern spur trails.

The facility accommodates tents and trailers and includes vault toilets and potable water from a well-hand pump. There is a submersible pump that requires a 5000 watt generator. Maximum capacity is 200 individuals (approximately 50 wheeled recreational vehicles).

This campground is maintained with the help of the Michigan Trail Riders Association.
