Description

Located within the Shiawassee River headwaters, Highland Oaks preserves sensitive habitat while providing recreation experiences. The park’s 302 acres of rolling hills, wetlands and old pastures offers 2.5 miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding, geocaching and cross-country skiing, as well as fishing from an accessible floating dock. Archery deer hunting is allowed in designated areas. Equestrian trailer parking is on North Milford Road, ½ mile north of White Lake Road. A second parking lot is located off Milford Road.

The Park is open year-round. Approximately 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset.
